Library Announces Summer Reading Program Winners
Townline Elementary and the School of Dual Language students shared the honor of winning the Cook Library District’s Super-Summer Reading Trophy. These schools won the trophy for having the highest percentage of their students sign up for the library’s summer reading program. Schools in the Hawthorn School District compete for the trophy. Last year’s winner was Elementary North. The two previous years, the trophy was won by Elementary South. These students are to be congratulated for their remarkable participation in the library district’s summer reading program. District-wide over 5000 people signed up for the summer reading program.
