Project Change would like to announce Pasta for Pennies. This event will begin on March 2nd and will end on March 20th. The students are very excited for this fundraiser. The class that raises the MOST money will receive a free Olive Garden lunch! Each student has received a collection box along with a flyer explaining the event, so look for them in your book bag. The purpose of this fundraiser is not just to win a free Olive Garden lunch, but more importantly, to raise money to help children with Leukemia.
The winning class will be announced before spring break. Thank you all for participating in this important cause.
Hawthorn District 73 elementary schools collectively raised more than $40,000 for the American Heart Association in its annual Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser.
Townline/Dual Language collectively raised $23,000 during the fundraiser. Top student fundraisers from the Townline/Dual Language event included second grader Wesley E. and first grader Victoria T.
Jump Rope For Heart is a national fundraising event sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD). These events engage students with jumping rope while empowering them to improve their own health and help other students with heart-health issues.

First through fifth grade physical education students participated in Jump Rope for Heart, a fundraiser benefiting the American Heart Association. During this event, students practiced a variety of rope jumping skills and learned about how to keep the heart healthy and strong. This experience created much excitement and interest from our school community, and was enjoyed by all! We are happy to announce that over $23,000 was donated to the American Heart Association!
