Library Bookmark Contest

Townline and Dual Language physical education teachers showed students how much fun superheroes can have staying fit and working out, even on Halloween.

PTO Book Fair is Open During Conferences
Start your holiday shopping early at the PTO Scholastic Book Fair during parent-teacher conferences on 11/21-11/22. You can find it on the first floor near the staircases.
Folklórico Nacional
Close to 200 parents and children attended Hawthorn’s Cultural Night with Ballet Folklórico Nacional of Milwaukee. Ballet Folklórico Nacional is an innovative, theatrical body of dancers committed to the preservation of one of the richest artistic manifestations of tradition and culture in Mexico. The dances include traditional Mexican folk dance and traditional Aztec dance.
Toys for Tots Donations
From now through December 16, the Vernon Hills Police Department will be a drop-off location for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. The Toys for Tots program accepts new, unwrapped items. All kinds of toys can be donated. The Marine Corps will distribute them according to age. Some ideas for older children include sporting equipment/bags/balls, books, backpacks, cosmetics, purses, watch/wallet gift sets, bath gift sets, board games, radio control cars/trucks, hand-held electronics, skateboards/helmets, curling irons, hair straighteners, and hair dryers.

El grupo demuestra bailes de regiones diferentes de México. También, vendrá Javier Escamilla quien ganó un premio de “Guinness Book of World Records”.

The group showcases dances from different regions of México. Also, Javier Escamilla who is a Guinness Book of World Records winner for the most number of Texas skips in a minute.
