Students Learn About Pop Art

Mrs. Del Rosario, an art teacher at the School of Dual Language, taught her second grade students about the American artist Wayne Thiebaud. Associated with the pop art movement, he is widely known for his colorful works depicting commonplace objects such as pies and pastries. Afterwords, she had her students draw desserts, such as cupcakes, in a way that reflected his style.
