Music Program
El día jueves 7 de mayo, la Escuela Hawthorn del Lenguaje Dual realizó sus presentaciones musicales a los padres y maestros. El tema del programa fue Cantar, Jugar, Danzar. Cada nivel de grado combinado con otro nivel de grado cantó canciones usando algunas veces coreografía o el lenguaje americano de señas. Percusión Mallet, al igual que tambores y guitarras, fueron utilizados para presentar canciones tradicionales por niveles de grados individuales. Y, finalmente, cada nivel de grado realizó una danza folklórica de diferentes países y culturas. Los estudiantes compitieron en un concurso para proveer el arte que fue cubierto durante el programa de esa noche que fue distribuido a la audiencia. La noche fue un gran éxito debido al gran trabajo de todos los que participaron.
On Thursday, May 7th, the Hawthorn School of Dual Language presented their annual music performance to parents and teachers. The theme of the program was Sing, Play, Dance. Each grade level combined with another grade level to perform a song sometimes using choreography or American Sign Language. Mallet percussion, as well as drums and guitars, were used to perform traditional folk songs by individual grade levels. And, finally, each grade level performed a traditional folk dance from different countries and cultures. The students competed in a contest to provide the cover art for the evening’s program that was distributed to the audience. The evening was a great success due to the hard work of all involved!
